Well, rather than actually answer your questions, I think I will try to clarify them in the rules section. That way my answers are codified!

Nice, nice. Though on “chain sword” for instance, it says STR+d8

Should it just be 2 d8 take the higher?

On another (nay all but the same) note, I did have a couple other questions…

In the Insanity section you make reference to “terror” checks and “fear” checks. Are these different? If so would you clarify it a bit for me?

Would you clarify the situation regarding “weapon skills” in the profession packages? Is that a free d4 in the skill? A restriction as to the types of weapons a character can use? I’m not quite clear.

Do you have standing rules for “stimm” (as its given with the Arbitrator package)? No worries if you don’t I can easily use some of my rules- but would prefer to use yours if you have ‘em.

Under Hive Mutant the weapons skills are listed in die values is the on purpose (as the other packages simply say the name of the skill)? I guess this goes back to my weapon skill question.

What’s the psyniscience skill?

Under “edges” it says that every character gets a background edge. Is this true or is that only for those who rolled their characters randomly?

What does “reliability,” “reliable” and “unreliable” mean? (in regards to weapons)

Thanks for your help, and again- I really enjoy your conversion.

Yeah, that isn't in the write up because we have a very shooty group.

For a Tearing weapon, roll the weapon's damage (not your Strength damage) twice and take the best roll.

Well, we're closing in on three years now!

Almost Three! by Mark WaltersMark Walters, 16 Mar 2012 08:08

First, I really dig your adaptation- well done! I think you did a great job of capturing the feel of 40k while keeping it FFF.

Second, I was wondering if the note "tearing" by chainswords and what not had a game function or if it was just a note to the damage type.

Equiptment Question by MrPiranhaMrPiranha, 15 Mar 2012 22:43

I think Fortunov's homeworld should read "Fenksworld, Hive Volg."

I found the chapter write-up where Calpurnia received instructions from Inquisitor Skane, then Rollando from Narthax: Oaths and Betrayals. I thought the refresher might be useful.

We started playing this game in May 2009. Alas, I had to miss two out of the three initial episodes. Still, two years! That's something!

Since we haz internetz now, any chance of playing this Tuesday? Or is it Laura's writing group night?

Re: No internet, it appears by AnemoneAnemone, 17 Apr 2011 00:07

It is rather doubtful now that we will have internet back by tomorrow night, so let's call the game cancelled. I'm really pissed about that - I was looking forward to finishing up the Miseriecord plotline and getting to Sepheris Secundus, but sometimes you just have to laugh at adversity (because that distracts it long enough for you to shoot it in the face with a bolt pistol).

Didn't get a chance to finish putting in the non-combat equipment, and it still needs a bit of formatting, but here you go!

You are all going to be like kids in a candy store - I almost have the revised and updated weapons and armor lists done. Heavy weapons galore for our trooper, combat shotgun for the Arbitrator, and special unique weapons for our devotee of the Omnissiah! Plus a whole bunch of cool esoteric weapons for those wondering just how useful that "Esoteric Weapon Training" advantage is.

And… grenades!

Praise the Emperor! For we have many ways to serve him laid out in front of us.

  1. Visit Everd Zed, one of Saul Arbest's drinking buddies
  2. Speak to Narco Boss Lunce over at the Third Workers' Union (the drinking hole) — we might be able to kill two birds with one stone there
  3. Visit Moran at the alms house set up by the Tantallus Combine
  4. Talk to Sykes the Reclamator (at the market), the guy who knows everything and everyone
  5. Check on the thugs that have been replacing the Magistratum one by one
